Christmas is one of my favourite holidays and I wish it could be Christmas every day 🎄 This is a little post about my Christmas cards I made this year.
I try to make Christmas cards for my friends every year although I don't always find the time to make them. But I thought it would be a great way to take a break from my studies, so I ended up making a few small cards. I decided to make a couple of cards using the same theme, Christmas (obviously) and chickens. Don't ask me why chickens, I just love painting them 🐓
I started sketching a few scenes that made me think of Christmas, like gifts and hot chocolate. Since I also have lots of work for school with the exams coming up, I tried not to give myself too much work with these cards, but I still wanted to be proud of them. I really wanted to portray a cosy atmosphere in my paintings since that's what I mostly love about Christmas. I drew 5 different scene's which I copied so I ended up with 10 cards in total.
One of the first things that came to mind when I thought of Christmas was a mug of hot chocolate with marshmallows. So I drew a little chicken keeping itself warm with a big mug of hot chocolate. One of my other chickens is baking cookies whilst another one decided to snuggle up inside a Santa hat.
I really enjoyed creating these Christmas cards and I hope I made some people happy with them! 😊
